Terms of Service

These terms cover the use of centralvalleywebco.com and the services provided by Central Valley Web Co., a sole proprietorship owned by Mateo Rojas in Modesto, California. Using this site means you accept them.

Every paid project also gets its own written scope and price before any money changes hands. Where that written scope and these terms disagree, the written scope wins.

What is on offer

Website design and build, Google Business Profile setup and management, missed call text back and booking automation, and small fixes to existing sites. Prices listed on this site are the starting points published at the time you read them, and they can change. The number in your written quote is the number that binds, and it holds for 30 days.

Quotes, payment, and refunds

• You get a fixed price in writing before work starts. No hourly surprises.
• Website projects take 50% up front and 50% on completion, before files and logins are handed over.
• One off services such as a Google Business Profile tune up are paid in full up front.
• Monthly plans are month to month with no contract. Cancel any time and the work already delivered stays yours.
• If I have not started work, you get a full refund. Once work has started, refunds cover the part not yet done.
• Invoices are due on receipt. Work pauses on anything more than 15 days overdue.

What I need from you

Content, photos, and answers. A project cannot move without them, and a timeline quoted in weeks starts from the day I have what I need, not from the day you paid. Two rounds of revisions are included in a website build. Beyond that, changes are quoted separately.

Anything you send me has to be yours to send. If you supply a photo, a logo, or text you do not own the rights to, that is on you, and you agree to cover me if someone comes asking about it.

Who owns what

• You own the finished work. On final payment, the site, the copy, and the design are yours.
• You own the accounts. Domain, hosting, Google Business Profile, form processor, and any messaging account are registered in your name, under your logins. I never hold them hostage.
• I keep my own tools. Reusable code, templates, and methods I bring to the job stay mine, and you get an unlimited license to use them as part of your finished site.
• I can show the work. Unless you ask me in writing not to, I may display your project in a portfolio.

Licensed trades

I do not put a license number or the words "licensed and insured" on any page unless you provide a verifiable license number. Advertising as a licensed contractor in California without a license is your legal exposure, not mine, and I will not build a page that creates it.

Text messages and calls

If you call the business number and I do not answer, you may receive one reply text. Placing that call is your consent to that reply. Provide a mobile number through the contact form and you may receive a text reply about your inquiry.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, and HELP for contact information. Message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies. See the Privacy Policy for how that information is handled.

Site content

The text, design, and images on centralvalleywebco.com belong to Central Valley Web Co.. Demo sites shown in the portfolio are examples of work, not offers of sale. Do not copy the site wholesale or scrape it for a competing service. Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it.

What is not promised

I build the site and set up the profile. Nobody controls how Google ranks you, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. I do not guarantee a ranking position, a call volume, or a revenue figure. What I do guarantee is a site that loads fast, works on a phone, and is set up correctly.

Third party services used in a project, including hosting, form processors, messaging carriers, and Google itself, have their own outages and their own rules. I am not responsible when they go down, and carrier approval timelines for business text messaging are set by the carriers, not by me.

The site and its content are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind beyond what the law requires.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, total liability for any claim connected to a project is capped at what you paid me for that project. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business.

Ending a project

Either of us can end a project in writing. You pay for the work completed up to that point, and I hand over everything already delivered and paid for. Monthly plans stop at the end of the current month.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts of Stanislaus County, California. Before filing anything, email me. Most problems are a phone call, not a lawsuit.

Changes to these terms

These terms can change, and the date at the top changes with them. A change never applies retroactively to a project already quoted or under way.
